Bookings and payments
What is the deposit?
A small online payment that secures your spot. Each club sets the percentage. You pay the rest in cash at the club on match day.
How much do I pay at the club?
You see the amount before confirming: for a full court booking, the total minus the deposit. For an open match, your share (the total divided by 4) minus your deposit.
How do I pay the deposit?
With Mercado Pago, inside the app.
What if I start paying but do not finish?
The booking is held for 15 minutes. If payment is not completed, it is released.
Can I cancel?
Yes. If you cancel before the club’s cancellation deadline, your deposit is refunded. After that deadline, the club keeps the deposit. You can check the deadline in your booking before confirming.
What if I leave an open match?
The same cancellation rules apply: before the club’s deadline, your deposit is refunded. After the deadline, it is forfeited.
Open matches
What is an open match?
A booked court that other players can join until all 4 spots are filled. Each player pays their own deposit to join.
What happens if we do not find 4 players?
If spots are still empty 30 minutes before the start, the match is automatically cancelled and all deposits are refunded.
Who can join?
Players within the match’s level range who meet its preference: men only, women only, mixed or everyone.
Can I join a match outside my level?
Yes: send a join request. Everyone in the match votes. If they all accept, we let you know so you can pay your deposit and join. One rejection closes the request for that match. Requesting is free and does not reserve a spot.
Can I chat before joining?
Yes. Open matches have a chat for arranging details and asking questions.
Levels
How is my level calculated?
It starts with a questionnaire when you sign up, on a scale from 0 to 7. It then changes with your competitive match results.
Which matches change my level?
Only competitive matches with all 4 spots filled and a confirmed result. Friendly matches do not change your level.
How do I submit a result?
One player submits the result. Someone from the opposing pair confirms or corrects it.
What is the level range for a competitive match?
It runs from 0.25 below to 0.75 above the creator’s level. For friendly matches, the organiser can adjust it.
What does “played above, at or below their level” mean?
After a match, you can rate whether each player performed above or below their level. The rating only changes a level by 0.1 if all three other players agree.
Account and privacy
Why do you use my location?
To show nearby clubs and matches, and alert you to matches in your area. Location is used only while you use the app. You can also enter your city instead of sharing it.
What can other players see about me?
Your name, photo and level in matches you have joined or requested to join, plus your chat messages. Your phone number and date of birth are not displayed.
How do I report or block someone?
Press and hold a message or tap “⋯” next to a player. Blocking hides their messages. We review reports.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Account → Delete account, or email us if you no longer have the app. See how to delete your account for the steps and what happens to your data.
Why am I not receiving notifications?
Check that FaltaOne has notification permission in your phone settings and that alerts are enabled in Profile → Alerts.
